SPY:SL 65 AMG Black Series
There's time since I last wrote an article about the long-awaited SL 65 AMG Black Series, so the release of new spy pics is a good occasion to catch up. The special SL will be powered by the well-known 6.0 litres V12 engine, which will develop around 670 HP, in order to sustain the extreme sportiness that the Black Series model will be capable of. Obviously, AMG engineers have worked hard at the chassis setup to convert the car into a high-end athlete, ready to make happy even the pickiest driver. However, no clear decision yet about turning the car into a coupe or remaining at the original hardtop cabrio version. That is the main reason why Mercedes-Benz is currently testing both body models. Probably the cabrio SL 65 BS features important modifications in order to keep the weight at a low level and not affect the overall performance of the car. Some say that the SL 65 BS could be officially unveiled at the 2008 German F1 GP, that will be held at Hockenheim on July, 20th.
P.S.:Check out the first picture, the one above!3 camouflaged, future Merc models:the E, the 2 SL 65 BS and the SLC!Gorgeous image-the photographer is a genius!
