2010 Lamborghini Supercar Cnossus Concept - Lamborghini Sports Car

This here is the Lamborghini Cnossus. The Lamborghini Cnossus Concept was designed by Russian student Victor Filipchenko with the help of his Portuguese colleague Nelson Simoes as part of their final thesis project at Italys Scuola Politecnica di Design.
2010 Lamborghini Supercar Cnossus Concept
Every Lambo needs a bull theme, and this supercar design study for a supercar concept named after the ancient Greek city of Cnossus (Knossus) on the island of Crete. The designers claim to have been inspired by the Lamborghini Countach, though it is evident that the edgy styling of the limited production Reventon special also played a role in the design of the Cnossus Concept.
Presenting a bold vision of what the firms future flagship could look like, the concept takes inspiration from Lamborghini models past and present, including the Countach and Reventn.
It boasts many classic cues such as telephone-dial wheels lifted from the Countach, scissor doors and gaping air intakes in front of the rear wheelarch. At the rear, the thin strip of LED lights with inverted arrows at the end is a clear nod towards the Reventns jet-fighter theme, while the diffuser looks more like something youd find on a Le Mans prototype racer than a road car.

Not surprisingly, the downside is very low downforce, just 50kg front and 70kg at the back. For comparison, an Enzo generates 775kg while Pagani produces 500kg. The entire body is carbon fiber.

Its race-bred suspension system brings the driver in control of every movement, even under the most difficult race.
The car was designed by Christian von Koenigsegg himself but its shape is largely dictated by aerodynamics. It is not so surprising as Enzo and Pagani. In some corners it seems too bulky, like a great whale. But the whale has a sense of power that can not be found in one of his rivals. Due to the targeted top speed, the body is designed to be so delicate that a very low drag coefficient of 0.30. This is much lower than Enzo (0.36), SLR (0.37) and the Carrera GT (0.39). The frame is built like other supercar. Central to it is a carbon fiber tub (Koenigsegg called "semi-monocoque") attached with steel subframe at the front and the rear aluminum subframe to mount the engine, gearbox and suspension. The Volkswagen Kai-Nalu is a concept sports car designed by Spanish designer Josep Ferriol. The vehicle is futuristic sports car and is inspired by the waves of the Mediterranean Sea as they smash into the shoreline. volkswagen kai-nalu concept rear
The Volkswagen Concept Josep Ferriol includes the clear roof, highly stylised wheels and an electric drivetrain with two separate motors and design of Kai-Nalu is somewhat controversial and certainly no please everyone. But in a world where there are many supercars that follow the same formula and same style, the Volkswagen Kai-Nalu is refreshing and different.
volkswagen kai-nalu concept side
Ferriol is quite aware of how bold and probably controversial the Kai-Nalu would be, given the tendency for certain modern cars to follow similar design patterns.
volkswagen kai-nalu concept
Designed to be powered by a zero-emission electric engine, the vehicle features highly stylized wheels which have been inspired by the appearance of bicycle wheels.

SRT8 Dodge Challenger Sport Car Limited-Edition

SRT8 Dodge Challenger Sport Car

The Dodge Challenger uses Chrysler's LX platform also found in the Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300C sedans, but with a decidedly more sporty exterior design and dimensions which help disguise its ample overall size.
The engine is connected to a five speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels.
Power for the Dodge Challenger SRT8 comes from a front mounted 6.1 litre HEMI V8 engine which manages to produce 425 bhp @ 6200 rpm, and 420 lb-ft (310 Nm) of torque @ 4800 rpm.
The exterior of the production Dodge Challenger has remained relatively faithful to the design of the original concept Dodge Challenger from 2006, with just a few minor tweaks and details altered including the addition of a black lip spoiler under the front bumper, the removal of the Dodge crosshair grille, repositioning of the side indicators, repositioned fuel filler, redesigned taillights and a small matt-black rear spoiler.
SRT8 Dodge Challenger Sport Car

Dodge will offer the limited-edition 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 in three colors: HEMI Orange, Bright Silver Metallic and Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl Coat. Each two-door, rear-wheel-drive coupe will be produced with a numbered dash plaque and carbon fiberlike hood stripes.
Inside the 2008 Dodge Challenger many of the components are borrowed from the Charger and other Chrysler models, and the design has obviously been compromised in order to come in on budget.
Performance targets for the all-new 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 are impressive, and include a 060 mph time in the low 5-second range, 01000 mph in less than 17 seconds, a -mile elapsed time of less than 14 seconds, 600 mph braking distance of approximately 100 feet, and a skid pad performance of 0.88 g.
