Worlds most expensive car on display at Mullin Automotive Museum

This 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic, which sold for an estimated $30-40 million at a recent auction, is the worlds most expensive car. Now, the iconic car is on public display at the Mullin Automotive Museum in Oxnard, California. Also referenced as the Williamson car, this beauty was a part of the collection owned by the late Dr. Peter Williamson before it was purchased by Mullin Automotive Museum. The purchase price wasnt made public, but the word is that it was sold for between $30 million and $40 million. Dr. Peter Williamson had bought the car in 1971 for $59,000. The car competed in the 2003 Pebble Beach Concours dElegance event and was honored with the Best of Show award. Peter Mullin, founder of the Museum, said

I am honored to have the opportunity to display the Bugatti Atlantic at our Art Deco museum. The Art Deco Movement was driven by people who were fascinated by invention and innovation by the exotic nature of new technology and materials, by art and design, by speed and by the machine no automobile captures this spirit more than the Bugatti Atlantic. In the historic pantheon of automobiles the Atlantic is without peer.

The worlds most expensive car will definitely attract crowds at the museum and if you happen to be in the area, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity you just cant afford to miss.
