It's official:the new BRABUS SL V12
Finally, the new bomb from BRABUS has been made official. The new BRABUS SL, derived from the "ordinary" SL 600, is fitted with the well-known 6.3 litres biturbo V12 engine, best known as 'SV12 S'. The power output is really crazy, going up to 730 BHP, while the max. torque delivered to the rear wheels reaches a staggering 1320 Nm, electronically limited to 1100 Nm. The max. velocity of the car is limited to 350 km/h, while the time needed to reach 100 km/h is of only 4 seconds. If you go beyond that, up to 200 km/h, you will need only 10 seconds. The new BRABUS SL features a special system that lowers the car's ride height by up to 25 mm(on the models which have the ABC active suspension installed). Clients can also choose between 4 different braking systems, varying in the diameter of the braking discs. For the exterior, BRABUS has prepared a special bodykit, with LED headlights, bigger air intakes, an aerodynamic spoiler and the option of 4 differently designed rims with diameters ranging from 17 to 20 inches. In the interior, this SL will spoil its occupants with fine leather seats, carbon fiber trims and a handy steering wheel with shift paddels as an option.
BRABUS offers a professional tuning program for all of the SL range models, as it comes:
- SL 65 AMG goes up to 652 or 715 Hp
- SL 63 AMG goes up to 565 Hp,
- SL 500 goes up to 462 Hp
- SL 280 and SL 350 go up 332Hp(using a 4.0 litres V6 unit)
