On the 29th January 2011, Daimler celebrated the 125th anniversary of the automobile in the special ceremony organized at Mercedes-Benz World in Stuttgart. The highest on the list of guests were the German Chancellor, Dr. Angela Merkel, and Stefan Mappus, Prime Minister of the federal state of Baden-Wurttemberg. During the show, the astonishing Mercedes-Benz Aesthetics 125 sculpture as well as the new SLK-Klasse were officially presented to the gathered audience.
