Revised version of Chrysler's huge 300 saloon shown ahead of its debut at Detroit Motor Show.
Meet the new Chrysler 300. The facelifted version of the outgoing 300C saloon will make its debut at the Detroit Motor Show next month.
At the front, the 300 features a toned-down, less monolithic nose than the one that dominates the current car. There is still chrome in abundance, but the more rounded bonnet and grille soften the cars appearance. The headlights are new too, and feature C-shaped LED daytime running lights.
The cars taillights have also been tweaked, and theres a new chrome strip which runs beneath the bootlid.
On the inside, Chrysler promises an hike in quality, and has added an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment package better leather and new trim materials.
In the US, the car gets a 3.6-litre V6 and 5.7-litre V8. However, the UK model is likely to stick with the 3.0-litre V6 diesel available with manual or auto gearboxes.
The car shown here is in full US-spec, so expect a little less chrome on the UK model which wont go on sale until late 2011. The 300 will retain its Chrysler badge in the UK, where it will be joined by the 2011 Grand Voyager, and the Delta and Ypsilon, which are rebadged Lancias.
