 A U.S.-built replacement for the slow-selling Passat.the car which especially design for North America.Larger and less expensive than VW�s current mid-size car, the new car is aimed directly at the mainstream Honda Accord,Ford Fusion and Toyota Camry. but eventually could be built and sold in other markets.
The New Mid-Size Sedan (NMS) will be built on its new, transverse-engine, front-drive platform.the engine consist of a diesel powered which  will be available from the car�s launch in 2011. The diesel version will use the same 2.0-liter diesel as in the VW Jetta and Audi A3.this Apart from standard engine options for the new sedan which will likely include the 2.0 liter turbocharged four, a V6 option,
The hybrid NMS will be available by summer 2012. No specifications were given regarding the hybrid�s fuel efficiency or powertrain setup.
In addition to the upcoming NMS, VW may have another small SUV on the way. Insiders told Autocar that VW is looking into a long-wheelbase version of the Tiguan to make it more appealing to American customers.
The New Mid-Size Sedan (NMS) will Built in Chattanooga, Tennessee and arrive in late 2011 as a 2012 model. Expect pricing at Toyota Camry�s range ($20,000 to $30,000), which would make it barely more expensive than the Jetta and less expensive than current Passat.
