As we had the unexpected opportunity of seeing the first leaked internal brochure pictures of the forthcoming C-Klasse FL and given the computer renditions we previously posted (see HERE), we can now fairly judge the exterior design of the new C-Klasse Coupe, to debut alongside its other two brothers at the 2011 Geneva Auto Show. Completely new in the mid-premium segment lineup of Mercedes-Benz, the C-Coupe comes to replace the odd-looking CLC-Klasse and fill the gap left by the discontinuation of the CLK-Class after the launch of the new E-Klasse Coupe. The new 2-door model from Stuttgart will be aimed at the biggest rival from Munchen, the BMW 3er Coupe. It could even spawn into a supersport version, the future C 63 AMG Coupe, to compete with the BMW M3. There is worth mentioning one of the most drastic design details applied to the new model: the addition the of a subtle kink on the rear side windows, which will certainly cause a lot of controversy. The only aspect that bothers us and probably many Merc fans is the strategy of the Stuttgart-based constructor to install the awkward double fog lights on almost each and every new model they release. As seen from the latest spy captures, the new C-Coupe will make no exception from this rule.
