Best car choice for a teenager in the US

Most of the teenagers now days can't wait until they are 16. They count months, days, hours, minutes and even seconds. Why? Because that's when they will get their first car. They dream of Porche, Mercedes, Lexus, Lan-evos, STi. But sadly, not every parent wishes to spend over $20000 for his/her child's first car. Obviously the kid is going to smash it around a lil, get some scratches, and plus there's insurance right? So let's go ahead and reduce the price limit to $15000. I've seen teens drive a lot of cars, but here are teen/parent top choice cars for years 2008-2010:

-Scion TC
-Honda Civic SI
-Acura Integra
-BMW 325
-Ford escape
-Lexus IS-300
-Toyota Corolla.

That's for teens 16.5 and under. But let's look at it closely. Let's go ahead and exclude BMW 325 and Lexus IS-300, because insurance price for those babies will skyrocket. I see teenage girls driving Ford Escape. As much as I hate to see a woman driving, especially driving an SUV, it's not a bad choice at all. It's safe, it does 23/28 MPG which is really good for an SUV, but it's price starts from $21k. I'm pretty sure that it's way off-limits. Then there's Scion TC. If I were a regular teenager, I would definitely make my parents buy me a scion. Sure, it's about 2k off my price budget, but it pays off. It's safe, pretty comfortable, and it's really sporty. You can add many configurations to it, such as boost or suspension, but then, the price goes up to 28k. A WRX costs 25k. So it's off the chart. Then there's wicked Civic Si. It does 21/29 MPG, but what's more, it has 197 hp VTEC engine. In past 15 years, none of honda's VTEC engines have ever failed. But then it's way off limits. It costs 22k. Obviously if the price range would've been 25k, it would been the winner, but it's not. But we're not done yet. Acura Integra is next in the list. They don't make anymore integras, but it's worth buying a used one. It does 28.3 AVG MPG, and it has that high rev VTEC that truly shows that honda's spirit. It really scares you and puts you into this sort of "bankai" when you drive it. It's price ranges from $1900 to 19000. Yes, I did add that other zero. That goes to the Type-R model, the true japanese assassin. That car kills both, RSX and Civic Si. But the sad part is, it's really hard to find one that's in a good condition. It's very rare. I found one for 18k, it had 50k miles on it. For a 9 year old car, it's not as bad. It's safe too. Comfort? That's more of 50:50. It's somehow divided between racing and regular drive. You'll have to get used to it. Last but not least, Toyota Corolla S. It does 26/35 MPG, has a body kit (something that every teen likes), pretty good stereo system, unlike the Integra, and has the best 4 value price. You really get what you pay for. It's not fast, but then insurance won't charge you as much. Here's a little chart I made for each one of those cars:
